| es_EC |
dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research is to explore the special representation of Ecuadorian immigrants abroad through the analysis of elements the country´s electoral system and the assembly members within the period 2008-2017. It is intended to understand in depth how the representation is understood as an integrated model as described by Schwindt-Bayer (2010). The approach to address the issue will be Neo Institutionalist and supported by the Rational Choice theory. To achieve this, the research design is based on Lieberman's Nested Analysis, which combines qualitative and quantitative elements to deliver results that complement and strengthen the conclusions. With this research is a contribution to the academy given that the case study chosen is hardly studied and, within the existing literature, the existing document do not address the topic as with a multimethod design has not been studied in terms of political ambition or special representation, making it attractive as a subject of thesis degree and pioneer in your area. In order to collect the information the tools used were document analysis, compilation of administrative data and interviews. In addition, a database was created with the records provided by the library of the National Assembly to document the roll call voting in the room. | es_EC |
